Wrapped up, deep dust was a solo show in Norwich, presenting the body of drawings from my June 2022 residency at Cel Del Nord in rural Catalonia.
Here, over a two week period, I walked for several hours each day; noticing and mapping both external and internal landscapes. This was translated into a series of automatic charcoal, chalk and painted fabric hangings, whose immersive process enabled me to re-walk and re-examine the subconscious.
Wrapped up, deep dust was also my first public exhibition of text work. Together with the drawings, these journal extracts filled the space with intimate impressions of rural Catalonia and female roaming.
