HIGH HOUSE
I completed a 3-month residency at High House, an estate in North Norfolk (also the home and studios of sculptor Sir Antony Gormley).
I spent a lot of time outside roaming, gardening, walking and watching the grounds unfurl. The landscape transformed so rapidly, and I was transfixed, unsettled, overwhelmed and comforted by it all.
I continued to explore the connection between landscape, emotion and the body; making large charcoal and copper paintings of dancing flint-stones, sculpting together found organic forms and experimenting with oil painting and monotype prints to capture the movement of wind.
